The Lead Supervisor - Schedules (7Regional) will be directly responsible for the day to day management of the 7Regional Schedules team, including traffic staff ensuring all deadlines for schedules are met. This position is also responsible commercial inventory management across all of 7 Canberra's broadcast channels. This role is full-time and standard work hours on Monday to Friday each week, with overtime as required.
Based in Canberra and reporting to the Head of Scheduling Operations, you will be:
- Providing day to day leadership and direction to the Schedules Supervisors and their respective teams.
- Giving support to the Schedule teams with any assistance they may need to ensure staff are able to prepare accurate daily transmission schedules.
- Overseeing the training and development of team members.
- Ensuring completed schedules adhere to industry regulations.
- Operating in liaison with other departments and stakeholders to ensure all required data is correctly placed in daily schedules.
- Involved in regular discussion & collaboration with the Supervisor team to discuss common goals, objectives and forwarding planning across the entire Scheduling Operations department.
- Assisting with the effective management of client placements and exclusivities are as per instructions from the Sales team to achieve optimum delivery of campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop effective business relationships.
- High level of leadership ability and dedication to continued team development and improvement.
- Attention to detail balanced with excellent time management skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Great organisational skills and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Top notch computer and data entry skills.
- Confidence to make decisions affecting operational outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and legislation governing free to air television.
