We are seeking a Lead Disability Support Worker to support individuals with complex needs, including sensory, physical and intellectual disabilities and often challenging behaviours living in shared accommodation in the Bassendean area. You will empower the people we support to live the lifestyle of their choice. This is a Fixed-Term position to cover Maternity Leave.
Successful candidates must have good availability and willing to commit to varied shift times from Monday to Sunday on a permanent roster.

The role will require you to:
- Support the Team Leader in the daily operation of the house
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Encourage, support and assist our clients in their daily activities
- Organise chosen activities i.e. dance classes, swimming lessons & other social events
- Drive modified vehicles to accompany clients to appointments and social occasions
- Meet the unique needs of each individual by following their person centred plans and working towards their bigger life goals
- Mentor and coach new staff and manage in the absence of the Team Leader
- Maintain a welcoming home environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the disability industry, ideally supporting individuals with complex support requirements and an understanding of how to support people in the industry
- Cert III in Disability/Individual Support (Disability) highly desirable or other relevant qualifications
- A current WA Driver’s Licence
- A NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
- Full working rights in Australia.
- National Police Clearance
- Relevant immunisations including COVID and flu vaccinations
