About The Role
We're seeking a dynamic Lead Technician to spearhead maintenance operations at our Waubra Wind Farm facility, located near Ballarat. As a key player, you'll lead a team of 8 technicians and oversee various supervisory tasks such as planning, scheduling, and training.
Key duties include:
- Supervise and lead a team of 8 technicians to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
- Foster a positive safety culture and provide daily safety leadership on-site in collaboration with the Fleet Manager.
- Implement monthly, weekly, and daily planning through the Operational Excellence Program to maximise labour efficiency and equipment utilisation.
- Ensure the execution of all daily scheduled works and report any discrepancies through the Operational Excellence program to maintain operational integrity.
- Oversee contractors to ensure safe and efficient performance of quality work, achieving annual KPIs and maintaining accurate documentation.

About you
- Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification and/or background within power generation, mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Previous supervisory or staff management experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using online maintenance and operational systems.
- Experience with scheduling and planning maintenance jobs.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and/or weekends.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
