About the role

PLEASE NOTE: This role is based in Hobart, Tasmania

The role of Leader Secondary Systems within Asset Management at TasNetworks will manage the Asset Management framework, delivering maximum value and minimal risk to our customers and the business.

As the Lead, you will provide technical leadership and direction on asset management strategies and solutions, with a focus on improving TasNetworks performance across many areas.

Other responsibilities of the role include:

  • Effective collaboration and integration with key internal stakeholders
  • Delivery of contemporary Asset Management practices within Secondary Systems, including System Protection Schemes (SPS) equipment, Protection relays, SCADA & DC supplies
  • Leading a high performing team of Engineers, influencing and encouraging development of strategies to manage Transmission and Distribution line assets and building effective relationships across the business
  • Remain at the forefront of industry trends and regulation, ensuring compliance with policies and standards

About you

As a collaborative, forward thinking leader, you will bring extensive experience (7+ years) in an Engineering or Leadership role, ideally within Asset Management in the utilities or energy industry.

You will offer proven expertise in driving complex functions and implementing data driven asset management strategies, highlighting your effective communication and stakeholder management ability.

You will hold tertiary qualifications in engineering with the ability to solve problems, build rapport and convey and influence informed decisions in an effective manner.
