About the role

The role of the Senior Energy Analyst is responsible for the strategic management of Council's energy production/ usage, and greenhouse gas emissions. The core of the role is to provide analysis to support the development of energy and/ or greenhouse gas strategy, procurement, contract management, systems and tools, audits, star ratings, budgeting, reporting and forecasting to continually improve Council's energy productivity, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the energy cost performance of Council's assets, infrastructure and business. 

Reporting to the Section Manager, Facilities Management and Operations, this role will see you working across the whole organisation, looking for innovative ways to collect, analyse and use energy production and use data, to develop systems and plans that allow for improvements in Councils energy efficiency and reduction in greenhouse emissions.  

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree qualification in Science or Engineering or related field OR solid contemporary experience in providing energy management services. 
  • Experience and capability in devising innovative sustainable solutions relating to energy consumption and cost, preferably in a government environment. 
  • Significant experience in utilisation of energy management systems and rating tools to formulate recommendations and provide specialist advice to enable the organisation to achieve quality outcomes.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $99.7k - $119.6k plus 11.5% superannuation
  • This is a Permanent full-time role.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role.
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.
  • Successful candidates may be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus.

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
