About the role:
A unique opportunity has arisen in our Technology team to lead a team of Information Technology (IT) business engagement leads to facilitate business demand for the technology pipeline. Collaborate with business users to establish initiatives aligned with business objectives; and develop 3-5-year technology roadmaps for the business units and functions.
We are seeking a candidate with a high level of personnel management, strategic planning, as well as demonstrated success in stakeholder management and collaboration.
- Lead a team of engagement professionals to develop and maintain constructive business relationships
- Accountable for integrity of IT pipeline of projects and initiatives
- Understand business unit and functional strategy and objectives, and assist business users to translate into a technology roadmap; updated on a quarterly basis, and an annual major refresh
- Assist where required in establishing initiatives aligned to business requirements and IT solution architecture
- Lead prioritisation process for all IT initiatives and projects, liaising with appropriate business resources to ensure business-led decisions
- Manage initiatives through concept and prefeasibility, working closely with IT solution architects to ensure proposed solution meets requirements, providing appropriate sponsorship
- Participate in Business Process Steer Co as required
- Support Business Process Owners to manage portfolio of identified improvements
- Represents IT on program/project steering committees as required
About you:
- Relevant tertiary degree (IT or other).
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in large complex organisations
- Experience in business partnering, relationship and stakeholder management and leading a team
- Exposure and understanding of business process frameworks
- Ability to engage with business users to understand complex business problems and translate into business requirements for an IT solution
- Understanding of railways and transportation industry preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, people and coaching skills
- Results driven, with a strong customer orientation
