AddressWe are seeking a motivated Leading Hand concreter to join our team for commercial/industrial projects in the Southern Highlands area.
Due to ongoing growth within our company, we are currently looking for a skilled concrete Leading Hand to join our team with an immediate start. This position will initially be offered as a casual position with the opportunity after a trial period to go full-time, which will include a company vehicle.
This position would suit someone enthusiastic and looking for stability. Normal hours of work are 8-hour days, 5 days per week, however, overtime is regularly available.
About us – Highlands Industrial Builders are an industrial building company based in Braemar, servicing the Southern Highlands and Illawarra regions. We specialise in building factory units and warehouses, concrete works, tilt panel construction and steel fabrication.
The successful applicant MUST be familiar and capable in all aspects of concreting including:
- Managing detailed excavation
- Reading and competently interpreting Survey, Architectural, Structural Engineering & Civil Drainage Plans
- Assisting with drilling and pouring of bored piers
- Forming slab on ground, factory floors and car parks. Attention to detail concerning forming and finishing concrete is critical.
- Supervising and directing sub-contract steel fixing and concrete placement teams. (We outsource our steel fixing and concrete place and finish of large pours to sub-contractors)
- Supervise, delegate tasks and direct fellow team members
The role requires the successful applicant to set out and form up the work to the highest standards ready for the subcontractors.
Applicants must have a white card, reliable transport and a current licence.
