About the Project
Olympic Dam Mine, operated by the largest mining company in the world, BHP is approximately 550km North-West of Adelaide, mining copper, gold and uranium. Redpath provide safe delivery of ground support services in the underground mine consisting of shotcrete, cable bolting and hand held mining activities, along with a large workshop maintaining 30 items of plant.
The role involves
- Working 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster, 12hr shifts
- Manage and allocate duties for repairs, servicing and scheduled maintenance for fitters;
- Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely manner and to a high safety and quality standard;
- Provide supervision and guidance for trades;
- Assist with the mechanical work, hydraulic diagnosis and repair of faults when required
- Complete accurate daily shift reports detailing work performed
We are looking for
- Experience working on underground hard rock mobile plant is mandatory;
- Mandatory experience on Normet underground equipment
- Diesel Fitter/Diesel Mechanic trade qualification;
- Mechanical and auto electrical knowledge;
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Valid manual drivers licence
- National Police clearance within last 6 months advantageous
- Current First Aid certificate or ability to get prior to commencement
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
