The opportunity:

Our Fleet Services team plays a crucial role in making this happen by making sure that our vehicles remain in optimum condition through top quality maintenance and repairs.
We are seeking a Leading Hand to join our high-performing Caloundra workshop.
This role is an ideal fit for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic that's ready to take the next step in their trades career by becoming a hands-on mentor for our upcoming workshop talent including Apprentices, Trade Assistants and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
From general maintenance tasks and repairs through to major component rebuilds, you’ll get plenty of exposure to a variety of work across several vehicle makes and models to keep every day fresh and exciting. We’re also heavily focused on a zero-emission future and are rolling out an electric vehicle conversion program so you can become dual-trade qualified (Diesel & Electric).

The boxes you’ll tick:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Experience in providing maintenance and repairs to heavy commercial fleet
- Experience in managing Apprentices and Trade Assistants
- Minimum MR licence (HR licence or higher is preferred but not essential)
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
