Form of workWe are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Mechanical Fitter on a permanent, full-time basis, to join our manufacturing team!
About the Role:
Based in Kewdale and reporting to the Projects Manager, you will supervise a fitting/assembling team, including performance management, safety management, workflow management and task execution!
Your responsibilities:
• Planning and organising vehicle fitout and component assembly work in the workshop ensuring job completion within time constraints and in line with build schedule
• Coordinate with Fabrication, Electronics Technicians and procurement team to facilitate vehicle build schedule
• Develop and review documentation and engineering drawings necessary to facilitate work carried out.
• Ensure completed work complies with relevant engineering documentation and Australian Standards
• Collaborate with Project Manager in preparing personnel rosters and timesheets.
• Conduct regular inspections on vehicles and materials to ensure that works are carried out according to client specifications!
About You:

- Trade certificate – Automotive, Marine or General Mechanical
- Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising a team
- Leadership skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible and resilient
- High regard for safety in the workplace
- Australian Drivers license C Class - as a minimum
- Eager to grow with a United and Inspired Company!

- Sound knowledge of various software and programs
- Good computer skills
- Forklift license
- Experience with Hydraulic and Electric Drive Systems - highly desirable!
- MR Licence
