Leading Hand | Quarry Operator

An incredible opportunity is currently available for a Leading HandQuarry Operator, at our Byford Quarry, located 38km SE of Perth, 8km South of Armadale & 33km East of Rockingham.
Working closely with site management, this position will enable you to use your existing quarry, mining or maintenance skillset to facilitate the successful operation of a hard rock quarrying and crushing operation within the Perth Metro region. This position will allow you to develop your leadership skills whilst providing excellent opportunities for further training and career development.

In your new role, you will:

• Plan daily operations and allocate tasks in line with operational requirements
• Chair morning startup meetings
• Operate various mobile and fixed plant as required
• Inspect monitor and report on site conditions
• Schedule reliefs
• Be involved in the coordination of drill and blast planning and operations
• Participate in site production and maintenance meetings
• Undertake purchasing, record keeping and data analysis tasks in conjunction with site management/ supervision

• Have mobile plant experience with excavator operation being highly regarded
