Job description
We are looking to expand our team with a candidate that has technical and trades-person experience with relevant qualifications to grow into the role of project lead who will have the opportunity to build and develop skills in all facets of the business.
This is a hands-on role that will require you to manage projects, be on the tools and see out projects through commissioning, testing and hand-over.
Typical daily tasks include:
- Design and build RF & IP solutions
- Install and maintain radio frequency (RF) equipment
- Install and maintain DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems)
- Prepare and maintain project documentation
- Fault finding in all types of communications systems
- Rough-in, terminate and test commercial coaxial cables
- Manage installation teams on active construction sites
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Possess an interest and understanding of Communication Technologies
- RF, Telecommunications, Motorola Products, DAS systems (desirable) - Willingness to train or have existing experience in Motorola products, RF Technologies and IP solutions.
- Trades background in electrical or telecommunications in the commercial/construction sector
- 3+ years on-the-job commercial experience
- Focused on delivering quality work to achieve customer satisfaction
- Good time management and punctuality
- High quality of workmanship and ownership on projects
- Competent in email client and office suite applications
- Experience with inductions, work permits and interpolating build/technical documentation
- A high-level of English literacy and communication is required
You will already have or be ready to complete:
- Working at Heights certificate
- White Card
- EWP
This is a hands-on, tools-on role where you will need to posses a planned approach to managing the roll-out of solutions and maintain a high quality of workmanship and ownership on projects.
Applicants that will be considered must be based in Sydney, NSW with a permanent residency and eligibility to work and be willing to travel interstate as required for short-term projects (typically week or less at a time). Showing a basic understanding or investigation of Motorola radio products, two-way radio and DAS in your cover letter is encouraged.
