Job description

People and Culture have an exciting opportunity! As our Learning Experience Specialist you will curate and design content and facilitate virtual and in-person learning programs. This role is primarily focused on the design, development and delivery of learning material to increase skills and capability. Specifically, the role supports programs within the entire learning ecosystem, from new starters and experienced employees to leaders. The role analyses learning needs and develops instruction with initial support and guidance from a senior instructional designer and/or Team Leader. Delivery methods include virtual and in-person facilitation, eLearning, webinars, resource toolkits, workshops and conferences. As part of the Professional Development team, the purpose of the role is to meet our greater company objectives of continual improvement in workforce capability, employee engagement and FCTG's future growth goals.
This is a parental leave cover role and can be based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
What you will be doing...
1. Delivering end to end L&D services

  • Planning, designing, delivering and evaluating programs, courses, content, materials and resources to develop capability
  • Confidently facilitate a variety of subject matter areas
  • Effectively engage in both small and large group (conference) settings, in person and virtually
  • You may be required to support other FCTG businesses as needed
2. FCTG Systems, Product and Customer Process Knowledge
  • Maintain intermediate to advanced knowledge across FCTG sales and customer systems required to support an outstanding external customer experience
  • Maintain intermediate to advanced knowledge across FCTG preferred product strategy and technology systems
3. Communication & Management
  • Work with a range of stakeholders to define the most suitable learning content design to meet learning objectives
  • Uphold FCTG values & philosophies in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Track and manage participant enrolments and cancellations and other program-related data
  • Manage the collection and collation of program evaluation/assessment data to support analysis and reporting
  • Work in both a behaviourally flexible and agile manner with greater People and Culture team members to drive outstanding service delivery
4. Innovative & Customer Centric Mindset
  • Work with stakeholders to deliver work in the timeframes directed
  • Proactively seek and recommend improvements to both FCTG and People and Culture products, tools and processes
  • Maintain FCTG, brand knowledge and travel industry knowledge to support and drive value for internal stakeholders and customers
  • Maintain learning and development industry knowledge to support and drive value for internal stakeholders and customers
5. Design Fluency
  • Maintain basic to intermediate fluency in key learning systems, diagnostic and design tools (e.g. Articulate/Rise, Camtasia, SnagIt, Walk Me, Canva)
  • Maintain basic to intermediate fluency in key learning design and assessment methodologies
  • Stay abreast of best practices, emerging trends and new innovations to continually improve processes, learning and capabilities
We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria...
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in achieving business results, meeting KPIs, and delivering outstanding front-end operations
  • Passion for the science of learning
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to think technically and strategically about systems
  • Skilled in building relationships across various levels, from new employees to senior executives
  • Highly self-motivated and resilient team player with the capability to plan, estimate, and manage projects independently, while also contributing to team objectives
  • Experience in delivering virtual and online learning, blended learning, and creating supporting toolkits
  • Recent leadership experience
  • Certification IV in Training and Assessment
  • Additional certifications from talent and training associations are advantageous
  • Degree in education, design, business, human resources, information technology, or related fields
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), instructional design platforms, and tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of strategizing and implementing timely solutions
  • Experience across multiple brands, businesses, or discipline areas
  • Knowledge and application of diverse learning design principles
