Foundation College
Foundation College is an independent school educating young people aged 15-18 who may have experienced barriers to learning. Foundation College offers Victorian Pathway Certificate as a pre-VCE option, as well as the VCE Vocational Major for years 11 and 12 on two campuses: Casey (Narre Warren) and Peninsula (Frankston).

An exciting opportunity exists within our newly formed Foundation College.
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Learning Support Officers for an ongoing part time (0.80) position. The Learning Support Officers will work as an integral part of our Inclusive Education Department in a range of classroom and student support activities which contribute to the achievement of literacy and numeracy based outcomes of students in the school. Opportunities exist at our Narre Warren and Peninsula campus.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Work with classroom teachers to support the development of differentiated learning activities and assessments.
- Implement strategies and provide feedback to the Inclusive Education Coordinator and classroom teachers.
- Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as necessary.
- Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Attend and participate in relevant professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Learning Support practices.
Requirements
- Certificate III or higher in Education Support or similar.
- Experience working with students who have additional learning needs.
- A passion for inspiring students to learn.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Flexibility and an ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms.
- A commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the College.
- Working with Children Check.

Remuneration
Starting Salary $57,662 - $73,845 (FTE)
Conditions of Employment
- The appointment of the successful applicant will be made subject to satisfactory pre-employment conditions check.
- A probationary period may apply during the first year of employment and induction and support programs provided.
- Must hold a current WWC (Employee) Card.
- Willingness to work between both campuses.
