About the Role
Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, direction, and supervision for staff and students involved in the program.
- Conduct course reviews in line with internal and external accreditation processes and Course development activities.
- Lecturing and facilitation of student learning, creating stimulating and encouraging learning environments.
- Oversee, plan, recruit, and manage staffing needs of the program.
- Maintain and build professional networks with industry and employer partners in order to assist students to identify and secure placements and employment opportunities.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, applicants must address the selection criteria below and attach their response as a separate document in the application process.
Qualifications and Professional Standing:
- Holds a PhD in relevant discipline and or professional equivalent, or holds a Masters and combination of relevant working experience, or is working towards a PhD qualification.
Essential:
- Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
- Comprehensive experience (3+ years) in Community work field such as social welfare, human services, social work, or Community Services including mental health, disability, youth work and other relevant streams.
- Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement academic programs linked to learning outcomes and high engagement.
- An understanding of current and emerging trends in Community studies discipline, higher education, and student wellbeing.
This full-time position is based in Macquarie Park.
