Lecturer – Business and ICT
Continuing, full time appointment
Teaching Focused Academic Level A – up to $109,071 pa
Plus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave

Apply your passion and experience in Business Administration, Information and Communications Technology to teach students at CDU in Alice Springs and remote communities. 

About the Position
As the Lecturer - you will contribute to the teaching effort of programs provided by the Business team - Central. This includes preparing, delivering, and assessing students to the competency standards of the Business Services Training Packing in line with best teaching practices and industry standards within a team environment. 

A requirement of this role is willingness and ability to drive long distances to remote Indigenous communities in the southern region of Central Australia, Northern Territory.  This will involve off road travel and requires a willingness to stay in varying accommodation. While the role requires flexibility, adaptability to circumstances, and the ability to work autonomously, it also requires adherence to conform to CDU systems, policies and procedures.  The role contributes to growing the teaching Business and anticipates and responds to industry training requirements.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Possession of the following; 
    o    Possess education, training and/or relevant industry experience equivalent in Business administration, retail and/or Information and Communications Technology (ICT).  
    o    Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or be willing to attain of your own accord.  
  • Demonstrated experience providing training within a workplace setting or educational institution in Business and Commerce.
  • Experience in researching and developing training tools to meet the needs of students and/or industry clients.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including communicating culturally sensitively with internal and external stakeholders to whom English may not be the first language.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Competency with the Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software packages.

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Teaching Focused Academic Level A. The base salary will be in the range of $72,702 - $95,508 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $85,061 - $111,744 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
