About the Role
Primary responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the activities of the School are operated effectively and efficiently, providing a quality service to the students and staff.
- Lecturing in agreed subject areas, at least 3 units per semester, and managing teaching and assessment of units being delivered.
- Producing research and scholarship that informs learning and teaching, and curriculum innovation and development.
- Providing administrative support to the Head of School and other academic staff.
- Build the profile and reputation of the College with stakeholders, the community and potential students.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, applicants must address the selection criteria below and attach their response as a separate document in the application process.
Qualifications and Professional Standing:
- Hold a Masters/PhD qualification in Accounting discipline and or professional equivalent.
- Membership of a professional accounting organisation such as CPA Australia, CAANZ or equivalent.
Essential:
- Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
- Comprehensive experience (ideally 3-5+ years) as a professional accountant (or equivalent).
- Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement academic programs linked to good outcomes and high engagement.
- An understanding of current and emerging trends in professional accounting, higher education, and student wellbeing.
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Technological literacy in a wide range of desktop applications to support reporting and analysis role requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and confidence in presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and manage staff to achieve growth in the Business Accounting Programs as well as other broader goals of the College, in a substantial academic enterprise.
This full-time position is based in Macquarie Park.
