This position is crucial in making significant contribution to teaching and learning practice and engages in educational leadership within the school.Your key responsibilities will be to:contribute to knowledge within the discipline and outstanding teaching and learning outcomescontribute to the research, education, and administrative activities of the discipline/ School/ Facultyengage with professional learning opportunities provided at the faculty and University level including the Graduate Certificate (Higher Education) and working towards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academywilling to take undertake a part-time secondment to the LHD to treat public patientsengage in seeing public patients at the Dental Schoolmaintain an understanding of the University’s strategic agenda and contributes to furthering that agenda.About youa BDS/DMD or equivalent primary qualification allowing for registration as a dental practitioner with general registration in Australiaa relevant graduate degree (desirable)a proven ability, commitment and passion for engaging in scholarly activities to inform innovative pedagogical practicedemonstrated capacity to stimulate, actively engage and educate an audience using a range of mediadeep and broad experience in teaching and learning in a tertiary environment, as evidenced by participation in team teaching within an established program and experience in teaching in a variety of settingsdemonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiativesdeveloping network of relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholdersexperience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.Pre-employment checksYour employment is conditional upon the completion of all roles required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University.
