About the role
As an integral member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of primary eduction and/or childhood education units at undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to the institutes research program and administrative functions.
At Level A you will:
- prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, practical classes, and other learning sessions;
- mark and assess units at undergraduate and graduate diploma level;
- implement blended models of delivery; and
- perform full unit coordination duties.
At Level B you will:
- undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students;
- develop, teach, coordinate and moderate units;
- undertake research activities; and
- supervise students undertaking project units and honours programs.
About you
You will work as part of the Institute's team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and seek to embed long and short-term research strategies for the Institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem-solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude.
At Level A, you will possess:
- lecturing and tutoring experience;
- a preparedness to undertake research and a capacity to develop an active research profile;
- excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills and an ability to relate well to students and other University staff; and
- previous experience in the administration of units, and other administrative duties as required.
At Level B, you will possess:
- commitment to scholarship and a potential for academic advancement;
- demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching, and a good teaching record;
- previous experience in academic administration, including the administration of units; and
- evidence of research expertise and a demonstrated capacity and preparedness to achieve an active research profile.
