Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Providing pro-active, effective and timely administrative and systems support to internal stakeholders across ANZ.
- Identify, define and resolve problems in relation to the Legal function as they arise.
- Improve the operational quality and effectiveness of the Legal function.
- Plan, monitor and achieve functional goals within the prescribed timeframe.
- Co-ordinate and manage corporate secretarial documents and filings for the ANZ business entities.
- Act as the first point of contact on behalf of the Legal team, and triage accordingly.
The ideal candidate for this role is;
(i). A law student currently undertaking their degree, or;
(ii). Extensive experience working as a senior Legal Secretary or Paralegal for an in-house Legal team, or within a Legal firm.
The minimum qualifications and experience for this role are:
- NSW Law Society Legal Secretary training (equivalent experience will be considered) or 10+ years working as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal in a private law firm.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work from a customer (both internal and external) perspective to ensure customer satisfaction, by adoption a solutions focused mindset.
- Assertive, tenacious and resilient approach with a 'can do' attitude.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia (Australian Citizen or appropriate Visa holder).
