The role will be responsible for:
- Transformation - Be cutting edge and future focused, transforming the way the division works by delivering and embedding improvement, innovation and best practice.
- Delivery - Drive practice management activities including leading the triaging and allocation of new work received, and the development and streamlining of innovative, automated systems, processes and reporting tools.
- Optimising & Enabling - Enable and drive Legal Operations performance by optimising people, resources, processes and technology.
Reporting to the Director, Legal the role will drive and deliver Legal Operations with a focus on:
- Being a critical trusted partner, advisor and enabler of the Legal and Legislation Division. Through fostering strong partnerships, is seen as a core part of the division. Being a subject matter expert, who deeply understands legal and legislation work, needs and challenges, and is sought out for advice and support.
- Identifying, designing and implementing process improvement initiatives and collaborating with business stakeholders where relevant (e.g. Finance, Procurement) and working with these stakeholders to embed solutions.
- Manage systems and processes for the procurement of fit for purpose, accurate and value for money external legal work using appropriate systems and processes (and implementing the same if necessary) to ensure relevant data, including financial and gender specific data, is appropriately recorded, monitored, measured and reported on.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree majoring in business administration, business, commerce or law combined with extensive experience.
- Demonstrated experience in legal practice management
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience using the full suite of Microsoft 365 tools.
- A high level of proficiency in a case management system is also desirable.
