Form of workApprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) have an exciting opportunity to work for our Host Employer Estia Health in their Aged Care Facility in Kadina as a Leisure and Lifestyle Trainee.
ACA is committed to assisting you develop your skills and knowledge by combining on-the-job training with the completion of Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (CHC43415).
The Leisure and Lifestyle Trainee will assist in developing, implementing and evaluating lifestyle programs for all residents in both a group and individualised capacity.

The Role
Under supervision the role of a Leisure and Lifestyle Trainee enhances the quality of life of each of host employers’ residents through offering a comprehensive range of individual and group activities to promote social independence and interaction. You will assist in conducting assessments on existing activities and implementing new activities to meet the resident’s needs and desires. You will work with a collaborate team committed to continuous improvements for their residents and their families. Above all you will engage in practices that enhance the dignity and integrity of the resident’s independence.
About you:
- Genuine passion and interest in providing recreational activities within an Aged Care environment
- Ability to be self-motivated and promote a positive work environment
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Fully vaccinated (including Booster) and Flu vaccination
- Must be willing to undertake formal training in CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health with the study being in Adelaide.
