About the role
 
Our Retail Lending Team is expanding!
 
Commencing in March and with a competitive salary on offer, as a Lending Analyst, you’ll be servicing the needs of our customers across a variety of brands at our Caribbean Park office in Scoresby.
 
It’s a fast- paced and highly supportive customer centric environment which places a big focus on your ongoing development and career pathway. Our Retail Lending team operates Monday through to Saturday, with minimal shifts available on Sunday’s. Your full-time hours can be scheduled between 7:30am – 9:10pm Monday – Friday, & 7:00am – 6:00pm Saturday, but we like to work with you to find rosters that suit the business and you where possible.
 
We offer a hybrid way of working where we enjoy 3 days per week in the office to catch up with our team and also for other reasons where it makes sense to be face-to-face such as for training and other special occasions.
 
What will your journey look like?
 
Your role at Toyota Finance will start in our dedicated Lending Academy with up to 2 weeks in the classroom, where you will begin your credit assessment learning journey, including all you need to know about our products, processes and the systems required to complete your role. You will then spend up to three weeks ‘nesting’, where you will utilise what you have learnt in a supportive environment that provides additional coaching and checks on your work before completion to ensure that you are confident in your abilities before we assess you for your Delegated Lending Authority. 
 
You will be awarded your DLA 1 in Consumer following successful completion of Lending Academy and move into one of consumer squads with a dedicated coach and people leader to support your development journey. Depending on your previous experience, over the course of the next 12 months, you will likely be assessed and awarded your DLA, however everyone learns and develops differently so your coach and the Lending Expert will work with you on what is suitable for you. DLA increases for both Consumer and Commercial can attract a salary increase when achieved.
 
What can you expect?
 
On average you will be expected to assess and decision 2 or more files an hour, you will pick up the phone and speak with business managers when necessary to workshop deals, gain further clarity and request additional items all with a focus on decisioning the application in its first version.
 
We are proud of the supportive environment we have created which includes a minimum of two coaching sessions per month with your dedicated coach, a monthly catch up with your people leader and ongoing classroom and online training to support you technical learning journey. You will also get to engage with your colleagues through bi-weekly team huddles, monthly all-in department team meeting, dedicated team meeting and many more Operational activities such as Town Halls and Stand Ups to keep you informed and connected.
 
You will be expected to:
  • Investigate, assess and decision Consumer and Commercial credit applications for customers seeking auto/vehicle finance.
  • Complete risk assessments in accordance with the compliance and risk framework.
  • Confidently exercise a Delegated Lending Authority (Credit decisioning authority) to maximise lending outcomes in line with regulatory guidelines & Toyota’s risk appetite.
  • Engage with Business Managers and the Sales team through written and verbal channels with a focus on customer centric outcomes, first point resolution and strengthen the relationship between Lending and the network.
  • Contribute to the success of our business through a Kaizen mindset, where continuous improvement is front of mind and changes are made with the customer at the heart of the outcome.
  • Take responsibility for your results and development, using the expansive tools available to drive your career forward at TFA.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey decisions and requests in a clear and unambiguous manner with a network partners
