Level 2 Desktop Support Technician

Woods & Co Recruitment are on the lookout for a Level 2 Desktop Support Technical to join our client’s expanding team IMMEDIATELY!

Woods & Co, is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a fast-growing Managed I.T Service Provider in Melbourne Southeast. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience at an MSP, with expertise in Microsoft Windows, Office365 and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with troubleshooting and resolving common desktop and laptop issues, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills, are essential.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to employees for all desktop and laptop computers
• Managing work queues through the Helpdesk, remotely and on-site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
• Install and configure new software and hardware
• Provide training and support on new technologies
• Maintain and update company IT systems and procedures

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in Desktop Support
• Recent experience with end user Desktop Support
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving common desktop and laptop issues
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Experience with IT asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy)
• Certifications (e.g., A+, Network+)
• Minimum MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals cert. or equivalent
• Microsoft Business Premium experience relating to Microsoft Secure score and Cyber Security tools in the 365 Bus Prem and Enterprise range
• Microsoft Azure AD and Virtual Desktop Experience
• Proficient level of understanding of web hosting and DNS configuration relating to webpages and email hosting. MX Records etc.
• Experience with Sophos/Watchguard/Unifi/Cisco and other common brand networking technologies and platforms
