Lexus Technician

The Lexus of Brisbane Group is part of Sci-Fleet Motors Pty Ltd; one of the largest family-owned and operated automotive groups in Australia.

We are searching for a Technician for our Lexus of Southport dealership.  This is a rare opportunity and one which does not come around very often. The role is an important one within the Lexus of Brisbane Group and we want to hear from you! 

You will be responsible for:

• Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles
• Taking all necessary steps to diagnose to ensure the correct operation of vehicles sold under dealer warranty including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components
• Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems
• Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to service manager and record using in-house databases or reporting systems
• Ordering parts needed as part of warranty service
• Providing guidance and training to apprentice service technicians
• Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to Lexus vehicle product range
• Maintaining a safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment
• Ensuring the safe work practices of all Apprentice staff
• Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to guests
• Additional scope of work may require to repair and refit of tyres and wheels
• Providing high level guest service to the dealerships guests

• Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit
• Hold a current and valid driver's license (Queensland)
• Hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Clean personal presentation.
