- Hourly pay rate up to $47.49/hour + Super.

We are looking for a Library Support Officer to deliver resources to customer doorsteps as per delivery schedules.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
You will play an important role in the delivery of services and be responsible for the movement of library resources and mail between branches. You may also be required to assist customers with enquiries during their duties.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Drive in a safe and responsible manner including ensuring vehicle procedures are followed, vehicle safety checks are undertaken, cleaning rosters are followed and adhere to road rules.
- Contribute to the delivery of a positive customer experience by:
- Providing a friendly, prompt, safe and reliable library delivery service.
- Listening and assisting to resolve issues or questions.
- Building rapport with branch staff and customers ….
- Proactively communicate with key stakeholders in a timely manner, including branch coordinators, and Service Delivery to:
- Identify and prioritise deliveries in line with branch and service requirements.
- Identify and share improved ways to do things.
- Report any mechanical issues which may impact service delivery.
- Stand for periods of time and undertake physical working including lifting, packing, carrying, and loading / unloading library resources.
ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience working as a delivery driver / courier in a library or related (e.g. retail, industry) setting.
- High level written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Current full “C” class driver’s license and an excellent driving record / history.
