About the opportunity:
This is an exciting permanent part-time opportunity to join our Bolton Clarke Research Institute as a Library Services Manager, contributing to a hub that conducts and translates research into services and solutions to enable greater independence, quality of life and choice about healthcare options for our customers and the wider community.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide responsive information services for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage and maintain the Library Management System
  • Develop and maintain the e-library site.
  • Manage subscription renewals, vendor negotiations and contracts
  • Offer training and support to staff in the use of resources, and undertaking research.
  • Engage with staff and promote the service across the organisation.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
  • Sound planning and organisational skills, initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Library management experience, preferably in a clinical or other healthcare setting
  • Experience in developing and delivering virtual or face-to-face library training programs, presentations, or resources.
  • Understanding of health research methods, and an ability to use associated software e.g., EndNote, Covidence
  • Strong team orientation and the ability to work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team environment.
