Role Description/Criteria
Desired applicants will bring a sense of passion and innovation and possess the skills and abilities to promote high expectations for all, embrace a collaborative approach to learning and teaching, and demonstrate a commitment to the ongoing development of our learning community. The applicant will lead the library, facilitate Library Specialist sessions and be an active member of our specialist team, requiring the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. This role also includes a 0.2 classroom teacher role, providing POL/graduate teacher release during the week.
This full time contract position will commence on Monday 15 July 2024.
The successful applicant will:
- have a commitment to the philosophy of Catholic education and the safety and wellbeing of all children
- possess the qualifications, skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience
- have an understanding of an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning, inclusive of student voice and agency
- build a safe, engaging and inclusive program for all students from Foundation to Year 6.
- be prepared to be involved in extracurricular school activities
- hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration
In addition, successful applicants will be expected to:
- Commit to the Catholic Ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching, and living the school’s vision

- Commit to ongoing professional learning and the continuing development of a positive school culture
- Have a capacity to promote contemporary and innovative practice
- Have an ability to communicate positively and effectively with all stakeholders in the school community and have high expectations for all students
- Gather, analyse and use student data to drive learning and teaching and inform best practice
