Licensed Cabler - 4 month project - Newcastle

• $55 per hour plus Super
• 4 month project, until beginning June 2024
• Open Cabling License essential

About the Role: 

We are about to commence a project where we will audit and upgrade the network infrastructure in educational institutions across NSW, to their organisational standards. This exciting project will require you to conduct site audits and provide your recommendations, then complete the associated works (decommissioning of old, and deployment of new WAP’s and switches and the associated structured data cabling).

Work will commence asap and will run until the beginning of June.  Travel to regional areas outside Newcastle will be required.

Pay rate is $55 per hour plus Superannuation and when traveling, travel time and mileage will apply.

To be successful in being involved in this exciting project you will have the following skills, attributes, qualifications and licenses:

• Open cabling license is ESSENTIAL
• Safe Working at Heights certificate
• Working with Children Check
• Experience with commercial cabling - deploying WAP’s and switches and cabling them into commercial environments for large scale projects
• Previous exposure to working at heights
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, reliability in this role is key
• Team player
• Above average customer service skills
• Great communication skills both written and verbal
• Flexibility and willingness to travel to different sites
• Pro-active, self starter
• Vehicle and current drivers license
