Licensing Advisor

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Licensing Advisor to join our Melbourne-based Licensing team.

As the Licensing Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all licensing approvals are obtained for temporary events and activations across our venues.

The role primarily provides licensing support to all our venues across Australia and New Zealand for a wide range of temporary events and activations. The role entails liaising with regulatory authorities on a daily basis relating to licence applications for liquor, food, outdoor dining, event permits, road closures and any other approvals as required.

Reporting to the General Manager - Licensing, this role’s key responsibilities include:

• Preparation and lodgement of all necessary licensing applications for all temporary events and activations across Australia and New Zealand.
• Coordinating and liaising with external stakeholders, particularly regulatory authorities on our licence applications, ensuring timely and accurate completion of our applications to obtain approval by the business desired dates.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders, particularly directly with venues and the Activations Team to provide licensing advice and support.
• Preparation of regular reports on licensing applications and forward planning, highlighting regulatory lodgement deadlines, any areas of concern and improvement opportunities.
• Maintaining accurate records relating to all approvals via our existing record keeping systems and processes.
• Owning the licence application and management process from beginning to end.
• Contributing to various ad-hoc licensing matters.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Experience in preparing and managing liquor licence applications
• Experience working within the guidelines of regulatory legislation relating to the hospitality industry.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comprehensive computer skills across MS Office Suite and Adobe.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing tasks.

The role will be Monday to Friday, based at our central support office, located on St Kilda Rd.

Flexible working arrangements available, with a requirement to be in the office seven business days every fortnight.
