The Role:

As a Licensing Consultant you will work across the business and our Software Sales team; your focus will be to help Data#3’s clients reduce costs, simplify budgeting, streamline operations, and ensure the acquisition of only the best-fit software.

In this role you will:

  • Bring a positive and team focused attitude to work!
  • Be part of our national team of software experts, delivering only the best outcomes to our large number of national customers.
  • Supporting clients to develop and execute negotiation strategies
  • Supporting clients to reduce software spending, reduce software licensing complexity, align technology investments to organisational goals and identify opportunities to create operational efficiencies
  • Preparing and/or reviewing service delivery reporting

Be a specialist in software licensing, who can craft recommendations for customers to help them maximise their investment in software and our services by:

  • Evaluating and articulating the impact of licensing/market changes to present impact of risk/opportunities for clients
  •  Evaluating a client’s software license entitlements
  • Evaluating a client’s software deployment footprint
  • Evaluating a client’s software licensing options and articulating the benefits and challenges presented to the client by each option

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive knowledge of the mainstream software licensing market: product license terms, licensing agreements, software vendors, etc
  • Developing and analysing financial modelling
  • An understanding of the licensing implications based on the relationship between software, hardware and the cloud (as applicable)
  • Proven track record of integrity in dealing with personnel, client and supplier issues
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining client and vendor relationships
  • Some IT product and solution knowledge
  • Tertiary education desirable
  • Software Asset Management experience desirable
  • Procurement experience desirable.
