About our client:
Our client's have an excellent Aged Care facility in Gosnells, Perth which they pride themselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of designing, organizing, and executing lifestyle, social, and wellness activities aimed at enriching the lives of residents in Residential Care Centers and the Independent Living Village.
- Create a positive emotional atmosphere for both residents and caregiving staff.
- Establish genuine connections with residents by actively listening and engaging in activities that contribute to their mental and physical well-being.
- Lead a team to efficiently implement tailored programs designed to enhance residents' quality of life, taking into account their physical and cognitive capabilities.
- Manage departmental budget and finances effectively.
- Collaborate with managers and the marketing team to regularly promote and advertise activities to residents, relatives, and staff.
- Ensure that program effectiveness is assessed and documented by Direct Reports, tracking residents' progress and adjusting programs accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Cert IV in Allied Health required
- Experience in leading and managing teams of staff and/or volunteers, management of budget and financials for department and coordinating lifestyle programs in a residential aged care, independent living and community setting.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of continuous quality-improvement.
- Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and an understanding of person-centered care.
- Advanced Computer Skills "Microsoft Suite"
- Current National Police Clearance
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination
- Must hold a WA drivers license.
