Woorayl Lodge is a not-for-profit aged care facility nestled in the lush, rolling hills of South Gippsland in the township of Leongatha. The Lodge has 41 private rooms in the residential aged care section and 29 independent living units and is proudly community owned and run.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Lifestyle Co-ordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of a variety of leisure and lifestyle programs. This role requires a proactive and creative individual who can inspire and lead a team to deliver outstanding experiences for our residents.
You’ll ensure the activities are specifically tailored and designed for the resident’s needs, interests and capabilities including:
- Coordinating and delivering fun, inclusive and exciting events to our residents on a regular schedule.
- Delivering a holistic activities program that promotes independence, learning new hobbies and enabling social connections.
- Being the welcoming face to all new residents in the community by ensuring they are engaged and supported in their transition to our community.
The successful candidate will have formal training in diversional therapy, recreation or relevant discipline (e.g. Diploma in Leisure and Health or Associate Degree of Health Science (Leisure and Health) or Bachelor of Health Science (Leisure and Health).
