About Our Role
Northern Stars KCGM workshop is searching for an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join the Mining Mobile Maintenance Department at the Fimiston Superpit operation.
This position will see you performing preventative and break-down maintenance on Company Light Vehicles (LV) and lighting plants, ensuring planned maintenance and operations-based activities are followed to meet site operational plans, targets and objectives.
This residential position is on a 5/2 roster, working 10-hour days, providing a great work-home life balance - be home every night!
The successful candidate must possess the following attributes:
Essential
- Trade certificate in Automotive Mechanics, or relevant related discipline.
- Diesel or Light Vehicle mechanic experience.
- Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise break down work.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to take direction well.
- Good customer services skills.
- Intermediate level computer literacy
- Basic experience in a maintenance management system
- Must reside within the Goldfields region, or willing to relocate.
- Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Manual Drivers Licence.
Preferred
- Previous experience with lighting towers, Light Vehicle and light truck (Isuzu) maintenance.
- Previous experience with Toyota fleet.
