An opportunity for an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic has become available in our well-established hire company which provides equipment to the Mining, Civil and Construction industries.
Total Plant Hire is looking for an enthusiastic and determined Light Vehicle Mechanic on a permanent bases to join our small team located at our Pinjarra workshop and offer support for our business.
This position is a for a permanent employee able to work Monday to Friday and an hourly rate will be discussed at interview and will be based on your experience.
We are looking for reliable, experienced, and committed Light Vehicle Mechanic who has knowledge and experience with working on Toyota Light Vehicles and other small diesel engines such as Kobota, Deutz, Cat, Cummings within support equipment such as screw compressors, welders, compactors & generators.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out service and repairs on Light Vehicles and small diesel engine works.
- Diagnose vehicle and engine faults.
- Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
- Provide accurate duration estimates for a repair or maintenance job.
- Ensure service sheets and Work Orders filled out correctly and maintenance systems updated accordingly.
- Road test vehicles to ensure road wroth before handed back to operations.
- Fitting of accessories including Beacons, work/spotlights, stereos, revers cameras, UHF radios, off road equipment and other safety devices/systems
- Maintain a sound knowledge of brand products.
- Follow correct procedures , guidelines, and OSH requirements.
About you:
- A trade certificate in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- 5 plus years’ experience is desirable.
- Proven experience working on Toyota Light Vehicles.
- Vast mechanical knowledge across a range of vehicles and small engines.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Capable of working autonomously and commitment to delivering quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent team player with great communication skills.
- Hard-working, with a commitment to learning and perfecting your skillset.
