Karora Resources is a gold and nickel producer in WA. Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, we currently operate the Beta Hunt underground mine in Kambalda and the Higginsville Gold Operations, which includes a 1.6 Mtpa mill and processing plant, near Norseman in the Goldfields region of Western Australia and the recently acquired 1.0Mtpa Lakewood Mill in Kalgoorlie.
Due to ongoing expansion at our Beta Hunt Operations, we are looking for a Underground Light Vehicle Fitter to join the Maintenance team.

THE OPPORTUNITY
- Ensure maximum availability (as practicable) of Beta Hunt fleet to contribute toward production targets of the mine through; fault finding and diagnostics, preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Adequately adhere to maintenance schedules and including responding to all breakdowns of machinery to minimise disruption to mines operations
- Liaise with Operations personnel to advise when equipment is required to be taken out of service or returned to service.
- Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties - ensuring timely and accurate data capture and recordkeeping of all allocated tasks
- Perform all duties within company guidelines relating to safety & environment policies
ABOUT YOU
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Minimum of 2 years’ post trade experience
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Automotive Technician Trades Certificate (Light)
- Underground mine experience, particularly with Toyota Light Vehicles and 4WD (desirable)
- Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Pronto (desirable)
- Automotive Air-conditioning certificate (desirable)
