ACP StreetPrint also consists of road surfacing treatments, coloured surfacing, line marking, traffic control, bridge works and cleaning. Due to the continuous growth within the industry and expansion of operations within the company, we are on the lookout for dedicated Line Markers/ Labourers to join our Townsville operation team.
About the role
As a Line Marker/ Labourer, you will be responsible for completing assigned jobs to carry out line marking and colour surfacing on roads, car parks, airports and Defence force bases. This role will be reporting to the Forman and Division Manager. Some of the day-to-day roles can include;
- Attending pre-starts and toolbox meetings prior to commencing assigned shift
- Complete the mandatory SWMS and Site Hazards Assessments
- Measure, mask up and tape off areas for line marking / colour installations
- Loading and unloading materials
- Complete checklists as required
- Preform clean ups and remove waste before leaving the work sites
About you
Our Ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role in either line marking or colour surfacing. Some of the qualities we are looking for includes;
- Experience using airless sprayer and long line truck, including the set up – Line Marking
- Has the ability to lead by example and delegate task effectively, clearly and fairly
- Be available for weekends and night shifts as required
- Has experience and can interpret relevant Traffic Management codes, legislations and practices such as MUTCD
- Quality workmanship is a high calibre, taking pride on your work and not compromising when it comes to excellent customer satisfaction
- Great time management – being efficient and able to work on tight time frames
- Leadership qualities to grow into supervisory responsibilities as the team continues to grow
- Commitment to safety when performing all duties
- Ability to work well in a team
- Be able to pass random drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to work for long periods standing and able to perform physical labour tasks
- The ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and on radio devices as required
- Be willing to complete inductions, modules and training when required
- Has the ability to be flexible with travel. For projects around Queensland
Relevant Licenses
- Hold a current Traffic Controller License – Level 1 & 2 preferred but not Essential
- Hold a Construction Induction Car (White Card) essential
- Hold a current and valid MR license – desirable but not essential
- Hold a forklift license – desirable but not essential
