Campbell Petroleum Distributors plays an essential role keeping many parts of southern NSW moving, hauling fuel from terminals to the South Coast, Southern Tablelands, Goulburn, far South Coast and beyond.
We are looking for casual drivers to boost our pool, based either in our Port Kembla or Banksmeadow depots. Availability once trained is negotiable; some weekend availability is preferred. During the training period, weekday availability will be required for 3-4 weeks (if experienced in fuel haulage) or 10-12 weeks (if new to fuel haulage).
The safety of our drivers is paramount and our rostering ensures more than enough time is built in for breaks and fatigue management.
The following are essential requirements:
- Current and valid HC Licence as a minimum; MC preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices, including fatigue management
- Good (preferably clean) driving record
- Strong work ethic
- Customer service
- Sound communication skills.
Fuel haulage experience is not essential - a good driving record, experience driving HC, preparedness to work in the fuel industry, and a good attitude are more important.
These are desirable and/or would be advantageous:
- Fuel haulage experience
- Basic Fatigue Management
- Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence
- Safe Load Pass (SLP)
- Familiarity with NSW Dangerous Goods routes.
If a stable role with a well-established trucking company that still feels like a family business and not a multinational is of interest, apply now!
All applicants will receive a response – it’s just common courtesy.
