The Role:
Lindsay Transport is currently seeking MC Linehaul Drivers to join the team at our Mildura depot.
Employed on a casual basis we require Driver’s for night runs to multiple destinations within our network.
Linehaul drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of customer goods from one location to another. This role demands a high level of skill, expertise and experience in operating a commercial heavy vehicle with a gross vehicle mass of over 4.5 tonne.
Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Working with temperature sensitive freight
- Ensuring the safe and timely handling of company freight
- Completing relevant pre-start checklists, safety documentation and delivery paperwork
- Interacting with clients in a professional manner
- Working closely with Depot teams for the loading, unloading and transportation of freight.
- Operating prime movers in the configuration of B-doubles
- Completing essential safety documentation such as pre-start checklists
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience driving B-doubles
- MC class Licence
- Knowledge of paperwork associated with freight delivery and familiarity using internal cab data systems.
- Basic Fatigue Management accreditation (well respected but not essential)
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- Experience transporting chilled & frozen freight is highly respected
- Reliable and punctual with good communication skills
- A strong customer focus
- Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
- Provide a current traffic print out
- Be prepared to work nights with flexibility of start and finish times
