We’re looking for a Linesperson to permanently join our team located in Normanton.

Remuneration:
  • From $97,006 per annum + 12.75% superannuation
The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.
Location Incentives:
  • Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $25,625 per annum.
  • Housing Allowance – up to $10,400 per annum.
  • Locality Allowance – up to $6,388 per annum.
  • Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments - $10,000 after 2 years and if you decide to stay on for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years, we’ll pay you $15,000 at each milestone.
Plus, when you decide it’s time for a well-earned break, we’ll give you an additional 5 days of annual leave per year to assist with travel to and from your chosen holiday destinations. (Remove if not applicable)

About the role:
As a Linesperson, you will:
  • Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson,
  • Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.
About you:
Critical to your success in the role, is your:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
  • Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
  • Availability for call out and emergency work.
  • Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
  • Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
