TasNetworks are currently seeking skilled and experienced Lineworkers, Live Lineworkers and/or Dual Trade Operators to contribute to our dynamic Field Operations teams in New Norfolk and Huonville. Both our New Norfolk and Huonville depots are located approximately 30 minutes from the Hobart CBD in picturesque suburbs!
Working as part of our Works Delivery team in southern Tasmania, we are looking for a positive and hardworking Lineworker andLive Lineworker who will contribute to our success by providing construction, maintenance and an emergency service to the Works Delivery Resource Centres.
These roles are critical to our organisation in attending to faults in a prompt and timely manner, while maintaining the safety of the customer, the team and you as your top priority.
Lineworker - as a Lineworker you will ultimately be responsible for:
Ensuring Overhead Distribution Standards are maintained
Adhering to compliance standards in relation to safety, environmental and service delivery
Attending to faults in a timely manner and within budget
Establishing effective communication with key customers and the general public to maintain business relationships
Live Lineworker - as a Live Lineworker, in addition to the above, you will ultimately be responsible for:
Working autonomously with the ability to prioritise and adapt to a changing, Live HV environment.

About you
To be successful in these roles you will have the ability to work in a team environment and have well developed communication and interpersonal skills. You will offer a commitment to safety and a forward thinking approach, with qualifications as follows:
- A Cert III in Distribution (Powerlines) or A Grade Linework (with demonstrated experience within the distribution system)
- Tasmanian Electrical Practitioners Licence (or willing to obtain)
- Live line accreditation or the ability to obtain (Live Lineworker)
- White Card, Workplace First Aid, MR Licence (or ability to obtain)
- High Risk Work Licence - Dogging, Vehicle Loading Crane and EWP (or ability to obtain)
As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to pass a medical examination to complete the requirements of these roles in a safe manner.
