An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and dynamic Link and Launch Officer to join the team at Lowood State High School. As the Link and Launch Officer, you will be responsible for supporting young people who have recently completed Year 12 but are not engaged in education, employment or training. This position is offered on a full-time temporary basis, until December 2026, unless otherwise determined.
You will support these recent graduates to navigate their options in choosing a pathway that will equip them to successfully transition into study, training or work. We are seeking a dedicated individual with high level communication skills and industry knowledge who can provide practical assistance to students when required. This position will pay a kilometric allowance for work related travel.

About Lowood State High School
Lowood State High School is a large rural Queensland school educating students from Year 7 through to Year 12. The school was established in 1983 and is located 32 km north-west of Ipswich. Our students' primary school experiences range from one teacher schools to large primary schools. A large percentage of our student population travel to school by bus.

About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the establishment of an outreach program to link with Year 12 completers who are not in study or work.
- Set up appointments for potential clients and follow up with them to support their connection with the service.
- Work in partnership with the Link and Launch Coordinator to implement actions for young people to assist them to make a timely, meaningful and successful transition to education, training or employment.
- Provide practical assistance to young people to access required services to remove barriers to their engagement in employment, education or training. This may include transporting young people to appointments, assisting young people to access financial payments through Centrelink by completing forms, collecting required identification etc.
