One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Automation Engineerto design, implement and maintain Infrastructure services based on the OpenStack Cloud Computing platform. You will be across technologies such as Red Hat OpenStack, Ansible and Linux System Administration. The role will be based in Canberra with the successful Automation Engineerto be offered a contract untilDecember 2024 with 2 X 12 month extension options.
The successfulAutomation Engineerwill be responsible for, but not limited to.
- Building and implementing Private Cloud Infrastructure solutions including compute storage and networking components
- Developing and maintaining custom scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks
- Collaborating with other teams, OpenShift and Data Centre Facilities Management
- Migration of workloads for Legacy platforms to current platforms
The successful Automation Engineerwill have experience in the following:
- Experience with Linux Administration, OpenStack and OpenShift
- Proficient with Software defined networking
- Experience with Red Hat Ansible Tower or Red Hat Satellite
- Ability to provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders
