Moe (Elizabeth Street) Primary School is one of five government Primary Schools in the Moe/ Newborough area. It is a school that has seen many generations of families pursue their education. The school is an important part of Moe Heights area. This ongoing family history is valued in our school community.
The school has undergone significant refurbishment over the past few years both internally and externally to create a positive educational environment with the specific aim of creating optimal learning environments for the students. The school is very well resourced, all classrooms have Interactive Technology.
The school is in a `Neighbourhood Renewal¿ area and is strongly supported by the local community and the Latrobe Shire. This has been evident in the building of playgrounds as well as other community building activities. The school works closely with Best Start and Good Beginnings and together we run a facilitated Ready for School Playgroup for two hours a week.

The school offers individual and small group programs including, Maths and Language Intervention as well as social skills programs including Zones of Regulation and strategies from the Berry Street Educational Model. Moe (Elizabeth St) Primary School is currently the administration for the Moe cluster MARC Committee of Management. The MARC Scheme provides library lessons and borrowing for the schools of Rawson, Thorpdale, Narracan, Boolarra, Yinnar South and Elizabeth St. Visits to each of the schools are made weekly according to the roster.
Library resources are available for loan through the Bookmark Computer Borrowing system which is maintained by the MARC Teacher.
The classroom teacher vacancy being advertised is specifically for the delivery of the MARC Van service for the Moe MARC cluster, with Elizabeth St as the base school.

Range 2 classroom teachers play a significant role in assisting the school to improve student performance and educational outcomes determined by the school strategic plan and state-wide priorities and contributing to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities.
A critical component of this work will focus on increasing the knowledge base of staff within their school about student learning and high quality instruction to assist their school to define quality teacher practice.
Range 2 classroom teachers will be expected to:
- Have the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students
- Model exemplary classroom practice and mentor/coach other teachers in the school to engage in critical reflection of their practice and to support staff to expand their capacity
- Provide expert advice about the content, processes and strategies that will shape individual and school professional learning
- Supervise and train one or more student teachers
- Assist staff to use student data to inform teaching approaches that enable targets related to improving student learning outcomes to be achieved.
The MARC Teacher - librarian is reponsible for;
- Planning and teaching a iterature bssed program in conjunction with the Moe Cluster MARC Committee of management
2. Maintaining and epanding the MARC Library collection.
3. Maintaining the MARC Vehicle, including refuelling, organising the cleaning of the interior and exterior and arranging for scheduled servicing and any necessary repairs.
4. Maintaining all MARC equpment including computers and other electronic items.
5. Organising and maintaining the database of the library collection including the borrowing systems.
6. Being an active member of the Moe Cluster MARC Committee of Management.
Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.

To be eligible for employment, transfer or promotion in the principal or teacher class a person must have provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching. In addition, from 3 August 2020, to be eligible for employment in the principal class or teacher class, a person who graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016, must demonstrate that they have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements. This condition is satisfied where the LANTITE requirement is part of the Victorian Initial Teacher Education program completed by the person.
