AddressThe LT: Head ofEnglish faculty and Literacy Coordinator will provide leadership and direction within their faculty area and to the entire college.
Duties include:
¿ Attendance at Curriculum Team meetings.
¿ Regularly conducting meetings of the faculty and organising agendas and minutes.
¿ Liaison with the leadership of the school to develop the programs of the faculty.
¿ Management of the faculty budget.
¿ Promotion of professional learning opportunities both within and outside the school.
¿ Evaluation of programs and curriculum pertinent to the faculty.
¿ Moderation of learning tasks and refinement of learning tasks to drive growth for all students.
¿ Organise one themed week that promotes the faculty.
¿ Work with college librarian to consider the best texts for purchase by the library.
¿ Play a key role in directing the understanding of literacy data within the college.
¿ Lead the improvement of all elements of literacy across the college: Reading, grammar, expression, writing, spelling and punctuation.
¿ Lead the development of a culture of reflective practise within the College regarding literacy skills in all subject areas.
¿ Utilise data to plan professional learning for the entire teaching staff to develop a high achieving culture in their subject area.
¿ Being an active member of the college leadership team leading and having input into the broader strategic direction of the college.
¿ Attending additional events relevant for the role.
