They are looking for a lawyer to work in contentious matters. Their preference is for an experienced lawyer who can hit the ground running and manage their own matters from the outset. They are willing to tailor the role to suit the strengths and career aspirations of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:
represent clients in deceased estate litigation matters, including inheritance disputes, family provision claims and superannuation death benefit disputes;
provide legal advice and guidance to clients, helping them understand their rights and options;
pragmatic strategy development;
managing all aspects of litigation matters, including gathering evidence, preparation of pleadings and court appearances;
conduct legal research to support cases and stay up-to-date with developments in the deceased estate litigation field;
prepare and attend mediations, directions hearings and trials; and
contributing to business development and software enhancement.
Selection Criteria:
have a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to deceased estate litigation and be committed to a career as a lawyer in litigation or deceased estate matters;
have a proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously;
demonstrate a track record of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to client satisfaction;

Applicants with at least 2 years pre or post admission experience in succession law (contentious or non-contentious) will be highly regarded.
