We are looking for an experienced paralegal who ideally has a minimum of 2 years experience to join and support our Litigation department The position involves a variety of support tasks as an integral part of the Litigation team, including service and filing of Court documents and instructing Counsel. The Role
As a Litigation Paralegal you will be assisting in matters that span various areas of Litigation, including Commercial Litigation & Estate Litigation in various state and federal jurisdictions.
The role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to work with high-quality legal matters and a variety of clients. They must deliver high quality support legal services to our clients and the lawyers, have exceptional organisation skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
The role will require you to
- Provide support and exceptional service to all staff and our clients;
- Process and collate client documentation and material;
- Witness documents (as a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner of Declarations) and attend clients where required;
- Arrange filing and service of court documents;
- Assist with new client enquiries;
- Liaise with clients and witnesses;
- Draft documents, correspondence, and assisting with settlement conferences, mediations and hearings;
- Prepare briefs and disclosure material;
- Arrange appointments with specialists, experts, and liaising with clients;
- Attend Court to instruct Counsel;
- Undertake administrative duties such as organising calendars & booking appointments for clients and the team;
- General legal administrative support;
- Work closely with the Department Managers and Partners.
Desirable Attributes
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a Litigation Paralegal role

- Organisational and time management skills
- Qualified as a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner of Declarations (you can enrol in this course once employed)
- Experience using LEAP Practice Management System, Online Phone Systems, and CRM systems (preferred but not essential).

The Location
Attwood Marshall Lawyers has modern, spacious, well-positioned offices at Coolangatta, Robina Town Centre, Southport, Kingscliff, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
This full-time position is based at our Coolangatta office. There may be instances where you will be required to work from our other offices.
