Job description
We are expanding and looking for three permanent full-time Litigation Specialists.
Sydney CBD location with a hybrid work model.
Salary from $120,000 plus superannuation.
About the Role
Be a part of icare’s inhouse Dispute Resolution Team that manages and responds to requests for review of workers compensation liability dispute notices. You will also effectively manage workers compensation statutory litigation and common law claims.
Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same. As a Litigation Specialist you will:
Manage and respond to requests for internal review made by workers, their solicitor and/or employers of liability decisions on workers compensation claims.
Manage litigation and meet legislated timeframes whilst demonstrating model litigant behaviour.
Assist the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Leaders to determine litigation strategies on all pre-litigation and litigation matters to ensure they are managed in accordance with business objectives.
Use and update the relevant claims management and customer relationship systems.
Engage with, consult, and manage communications (including settlement options and litigation strategy) with our Claim Service Providers and impacted stakeholders.
Work with the Dispute Resolution and Litigation team and other internal stakeholders to achieve positive customer outcomes.
Respond to, lead, and facilitate education on precedents and emerging trends on pre-litigated and litigated matters.
Skills & Experience
Successful completion of tertiary qualification in Law and NSW practising certificate.
Advanced organisational, time management, and communication skills.
Excellent internal and external stakeholder engagement.
The ability to take initiative, forward plan, and be adaptive.
