THE OPPORTUNITY

Location: Sunshine Coast, Queensland

We are continuing our search for the right Buyer to join our Livestock Team.

This exciting opportunity will see you focusing on the execution of the livestock procurement strategy to meet the current and future requirements for the organisation, whilst maximizing value creation.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND YOU

You will have previous experience within the livestock supply chain and demonstrate:

  • Procurement and relationship management of existing and new grain-fed livestock suppliers across varying livestock categories.
  • An understanding of demand, pricing targets and production requirements across all livestock types.
  • Purchasing execution to deliver against supply, specification and price targets.
  • An ability to develop livestock programs to align with sales demand and customer requirements.

YOUR RESPONSILBITIES

  • Support livestock logistics to ensure production timelines and targets are met.
  • Liaise with Livestock Coordinators to ensure procurement and scheduling is aligned to production planning.
  • Monitor, review and report against livestock prices with consideration to industry drivers.
  • Identify and create purchasing opportunities through critical market, industry and competitor analysis.
  • Support livestock logistics to ensure production timelines and targets are met.
  • Liaise with Livestock Coordinators to ensure procurement and scheduling is aligned to production planning.
  • Monitor, review and report against livestock prices with consideration to industry drivers.
  • Identify and create purchasing opportunities through critical market, industry and competitor analysis.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of feedlot costing models.
  • Consistent and accurate updating of data into the Livestock Central system.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL

You will bring with you:

  • 2+ years of experience working in the livestock supply chain.
  • Proven relationship management skills.
  • High emotional intelligence.
  • Microsoft skills.
  • Project planning & delivery.
  • Presentation delivery.
  • Data analysis & reporting capabilities.
