We are fortunate to be situated on the beautiful West Coast of South Australia. Only a short drive down the highway to the very welcoming and social Wirrulla township. Only 30mins to spectacular beaches and fishing. The Gawler Ranges are nearby and awesome for camping. Our great local school is literally in our back paddock.
Our Livestock Overseer will be responsible for the day to day running of our Stud and Feedlot, at times overseeing other farm staff. Some other general farm work (spraying/maintenance etc) will also be required.
At Maildaburra, we are passionate about our cattle and pride ourselves on growing the highest quality beef for the market.
We currently operate on about 3000 ha and run 350-400 head of cattle (including 160+ breeders). Bulls are primarily sold privately on farm to clients on EP and other areas of SA, western NSW and into WA.
Attributes we are looking for:
- Someone with a great can do attitude, someone who sees opportunities and looks for solutions not problems
- Efficiency and timeliness
- Results driven, motivated to improve performance year on year, work within a budget and be keen on progressing up through the business to a management role
- Someone who loves working with cattle
Skills:
- Experience working with cattle, (including hands on calving). Stud and feedlot experience will be looked upon very favourably
- Great communication and computer literate
- Someone who can work independently and also part of our great team
- Must have current Australian licence and reside in Australia (position is not suitable for those seeking 88 day visa extension)

A competitive remuneration package to be negotiated based on skills and experience in the range of $70-$100K (including home grown meat, 3 bedroom house on farm, work vehicle).
Start Date: ASAP but negotiable for the right candidate.
